Interested in films, music and books? Aren’t we all? Well, perhaps not books so much (any more), but the other two have a pretty firm grip on the collective imagination. I think they’re both alive and well, thriving mediums because of the extent of discussion that surrounds them, not just in academia, but at home, in the pubs, and most importantly on the internet. In that spirit, and with a considerable amount of background knowledge, I’ve decided to start writing a weekly reviews blog. I spend a lot of my spare time watching new films and listening to new music, and I love talking about them. So I’m keen to share my opinions with you, and enter into discussion with anyone else who cares about modern culture. I’m always happy to partake in spirited debate.

But enough of that, onto the important questions…
